Norton Arnold wines are hand crafted from start to finish. We hand pick all of our grapes, and have been fortunate to build relationships with grape growers who own some of the oldest, most respected vineyards in the Yakima Valley. Our cooperage is also performed entirely by hand. The grapes are pressed by hand and are then carefully tended as they move through fermentation, aging, mellowing in oak casks, and finally, bottling.
Our production will grow slowly over time to ensure that we are able to maintain the high-quality, hand built features of all of our wines.
Our wines are currently produced under relatively primitive conditions, using the family basement, glass carboys, and oak casks perched on picnic tables. In 2008 we intend to remodel our Grandview garage to become a full-fledged winery. This remodeling will mark, in turn, another major milestone – the year in which we gradually begin to build toward a higher volume of wine production. |
